Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam, who is also the chairman of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), today chaired a meeting of the Authority in his office chamber and discussed the cases related to issuance of fresh route permits to the applicants.
It was decided in the meeting that three wheeler auto permits will be given for rural routes on priority basis and three wheeler contract carriage permits for city route cases will be decided after the parking facility is augmented.
Meanwhile, some cases regarding change of routes were also discussed and eligible cases were approved. For all J&K contract carriage cases, applicants are advised to apply as per SO 653 Dated; 5 December, 2022.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma, besides Members of RTA including Additional SP, Gourav Mahajan and ARTO, Samrinder Singh attended the meeting.
