Rayat Bahra University celebrated International Yoga Day 2023 on the theme Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to inspire people to live a healthy lifestyle.Dr. Neha Chanana, Public Health Professional Ex-UNICEF, Ex-NIHFW, PGIMER demonstrated the various Yoga techniques.
Mr. Subhash Chander, Yoga expert, Chandigarh also demonstrated Yoga techniques. Students from Neighbourhood schools and faculty members participated in the Yoga. It emphasised the importance of physical and mental well-being and the role of Yoga in achieving that balance.
Chancellor S.Gurvinder Singh Bahra appreciated the efforts put in organising the event by inviting participants from schools. He emphasised on the need of Physical as well as mental health of the people.
orthy Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh highlighted the significance of Yoga and motivated the students to do it regularly. He stated that INDIA is the country who has been practising yoga since ages but in 2015, 21st June designated it as International Yoga Day.
Dr. Simerjit Kaur, Dean Students welfare welcomed the guests and students. She stated that yoga plays a significant role in maintaining the balance between mind and body and for holistic well being of all.
