The District Health Society celebrated World Health Day today under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr Ab Hamid Zargar. Health awareness and medical check-up camps were organised in different health facilities across the district to raise awareness and advocate for healthcare issues.

The main program was held at Chenab Valley Public Hr Sec School Doda and presided over by CMO Doda, Dr Zargar. He said the aim was to raise awareness about health issues and mobilise efforts in support of healthcare. He exhorted people to take necessary measures to achieve equitable health.

At Bhaderwah, the main program was held at Crescent Public School where Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah, Dr Mohd Ashraf Kuchay presided. MD of the school, Dr Mohd Iqbal Zargar and health staff were also present. 

Students were made aware of hand washing techniques and personal hygiene by health officials.Staff and students took out bicycle rallies in Doda, Bhaderwah and other parts of the district to commemorate the day and create awareness on World Health Day.
