It is evident that Chamkila's biopic, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, is highly anticipated by fans. The biography has never missed an opportunity to grab attention. The upcoming movie has been able to reach the highlights, whether it be during filming, BTS, Diljit's appearance, Parineeti’s tweet, or the film's wrap-up. Imtiaz Ali who directed and worked on the film has also revealed that he has learned a lot about the deceased artist Amar Singh Chamkila.
And now it has come to notice that the court has imposed a ban on Chamkila’s biopic. Yes, you read that right. Reliance Entertainment, producer Imtiaz Ali, actor Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, and Gurmail Kaur who is the widow of the late Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, has reportedly been ordered by a local court to refrain from broadcasting, releasing, uploading, and streaming the biopic (film) on Chamkila and singer Bibi Amarjot Kaur in any way.

The petition has been brought by Isjeet and Sanjot Randhawa, the sons of late producer Gurdev Singh Randhawa. The court of Civil Judge, Senior Division, Harsimranjit Singh issued the orders after hearing their petition.
Apart from this, Isjeet and Sanjot also revealed that on October 12, 2012, Chamkila's widow granted the father of Randhawa the right to make a biography of her husband Amar Singh Chamkila. She also got Rs. 5 lakhs. The biopic's production did not have a set deadline.

Further allegations stated that Senior Randhawa passed away on November 3, 2022. Gurmail Kaur began putting off the situation on various pretexts when the petitioner first made plans for the biography and got in touch with her.
Eventually, they learned that the defendants were already producing a movie on Chamkila and Bibi Amarjot Kaur, all while conspiring with one another. That is Reliance Entertainment, and producer Imtiaz Ali has started working on the same. Now, the defendants have been summoned by the court for March 28, 2023.

After 28 March it will be known to us whether the biopic of Chamkila will be out or not. Meanwhile, the makers of the same have not spoken up on the matter, and hope they will unwrap their sides too.
