Four days long CBSE National Chess Championship 2022-2023 concluded with a true sports spirit at Brookfield International school. R.S.Tiwari ,CBSE Observer and international Artiber presided over the function.

The participants from India and gulf countries proved their mettle in Chess Championship.85 teams came to take part in this championship and around 650 players from India and the Gulf countries competed against each other.

In finals ,  In the national individual girls under-19 category, Prashita Gupta Bal of Bharati Public School, (G.R.H Marg) got the first position, whereas Anjana Devi of  Modern Senior Secondry School, Barah Khas got the second position and Simran of Model School Rohtak got the third position. In the girls' under-17 category, Shybi Binoj of Indian School Muscat  stood  first and Niyati Vikram Singh  of Sunbeam English School,Bhagwanpur,Varana got the second position and Theephigaa K P  of Velammal Vidyalaya got the third position.

In the girls' under-14 category, Charvi Chaudhary of  Delhi Public School, Guwahati took first position, Aji Shree A of Vels Vidhyalaya School,Palaymkottai able to get  the second position and Aanya Agrawal of Podar International Mumbai bagged the third position. 

In the girls' under-11 category, Aanya Gupta of  Amity International School,Vasundhra bagged the first position, Ayushi Dinesh of Velammal Vidhyalaya West, Chennai got  second position and Manvi Maheshwari  of Shreeya Devi Bhagirath Rathi Maheshwari  bagged the third position.

In  the under-19 category of the national mixed chess championship, Saurabh Vishwas secured the first position, Aryan Varsane secured the second position and Manish Aton Cristeno secured the third position. In the Under-17 Championship of Mixed, Arun Katarian stood at the first position, Sahib Singh at the second position and Harshhil Sehgal at the third position.

In the mixed under-14competition, Roshan stood first, while Simarth Razdan stood second and Yug Desai stood third. In the mixed inter-11 competition, Mithlesh stood at the first position, Pawan at the second position and Chirag Lahoti at the third position.

In the Under-11 mixed competitions, Bhavan BP Vidya Mandir, Nagpur bagged the first position, Reliance Foundation School, Surat and Gulf Indian School, Kuwait bagged the first position. In the under-14 girls team competition, Delhi Public School, Guwahati secured the first position, Delhi Public School, Jodhpur secured the second position and Delhi Public School, RK Puram, Delhi secured the third position. 

Under-14 Mix BDM International School , Kolkata bagged the first position, and  DPS, East Bangalore bagged the second position and Amithy International School, Mayur Vihar, Delhi bagged the second position. In the under-17 girls team competition, Dev Girls Senior Secondary School, Chennai secured the first position, Velmal Vidyalaya, Tamil Nadu secured the second position and Sunbeam English School, Varanasi secured the third position. 

Similarly, in the under-17 mixed competition, St. John's English Medium School, Andhra Pradesh bagged the first position, Bhavan's B Vidya Mandir Trimurti Nagar, Nagpur and Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi bagged the third position. 

In the Under-19 mixed team competition, Bal Bharti Public School secured the first position, Velamal Vidyalaya, Tamil Nadu secured the second position and Delhi Public School, Faridabad, secured the third position. Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Kolkata, Bal Bharti Public School, Rajinder Nagar, Delhi and Bal Bharti School, Pitampura, New Delhi bagged the third position in the U-19 girls' team competition.

On this occasion, the principal of the school Dr. Jaikumar Singh while addressing the present students discussed the importance of sports in life. He further said that the commendable achievements made by the students speaks of the efforts being made by the physical education department of various schools. 

The coaches from different teams also thanked the organizers of the championship for the best arrangements. The school director Manav Singla also encouraged the students to participate in such programs. Technical delegates Anurag Bharadwaj, Dinesh Gera, Varun Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Kashish Sharma, Y Shilpa Gera, Nilesh Kumar, Chandresh Bakshi and Ravi Kant were also present on this occasion. At the end accolades   were awarded to the winners.
