Ramgarh (Jammu) , 15 Jan 2023

BJP Pradesh Vice President and former minister Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia today said that Jammu and Kashmir is at the threshold of transformation with holistic development, large scale investments pouring in various sectors and efforts being redoubled to restore peace.

Addressing during Parwas Programme here, Mr Slathia, who is Prabhari for the Ramgarh Assembly Constituency, said that rapid industrialization and infrastructure upgradation is the preamble for Naya Jammu and Kashmir.

The BJP is working towards realizing the vision of the Prime Minister for ensuring holistic development of all the regions, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, he added. Mr Slathia described the BJP as a mass movement, saying the party stands for empowerment of the people.

Therefore, support from all sections of the society is the biggest strength that enables it to fight for the just cause of the people and stand steadfast in resolving issues confronting them. As a result of sustained efforts, the BJP has emerged as a force to reckon with, he added.

Mr Slathia said the BJP’s focus would be to usher Jammu and Kashmir in a new phase of progress and development with restoration of complete normalcy and peace remaining a focal point.

The BJP is committed to address the issues of the youth, the marginalized and weaker sections besides women, he said while asserting that the party will ensure to remove the disparity between region and sub regions with regard to allocation of funds for development and opportunities to flourish.

Prabhari said the BJP has paved the way for the people to have access to all the privileges, rights and facilities available to their fellow citizens across the country.

This is something not known in this part of the country due to wrong policies adopted over the decades, he said adding that continued support of the people to the BJP will help in expediting the development and making Jammu and Kashmir part of the country’s growth story, he added.

Mr Slathia urged the Karykartas at the grassroots level to intensify their mass outreach programme up to the booth level so that the people become part of the participatory democracy in a big way.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Chairman DDC Keshav Sharma, BDC Chairman Darshan Singh, Radhay Sham  DDC Sarabjeet Singh Johal, Ramesh Bhagat Mandal President, Shemsher Singh and Shiv Choudhary
