The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL), under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary (JKAACL), in collaboration with the Government SPMR College of Commerce (GSPMRCC), Jammu, successfully organised a Multilingual Mushaira in the college premises.

Professor Yasmeen Ashai, Director of Colleges, Department of Higher Education was the Chief Guest on this auspicious occasion. The Chief Guest, in her address, expressed her heartful gratitude to the JKAACL for providing the opportunity for students to develop their overall personalities.

Bharat Singh, Secretary (JKAACL), the Guest of Honour, while addressing the youth present in the audience, advised them to develop their perspectives through the experiences of the intellectuals, expressed through their writings. 

The distinguished assemblage included the likes of Dr Surinder Kumar, Principal, GSPMR College; Shri Pritpal Singh Betaab (Rt. IAS), a celebrated poet and former administrator; Shri Ahmad Shahnas, an eminent poet cum former administrator; Shri Naseeb Singh Manhas, a former Director of Doordarshan.

On behalf of the principal of GSPMR College, Dr Monica Malhotra, in her welcome address, extended a warm welcome to all students, administrative functionaries, and poets. Then onwards, Dr Surinder Kumar, Principal, GSPMR College Jammu, formally thanked the JKAACL for supporting the initiative.

Renowned poets Pritpal Singh Betaab, Ahmed Shanas,  Kuldeep Dogra, Nasseb Singh Manhas, Payary Hatash, Parvaz Malik, Bhupinder Singh, Surinder Neer, Toseef Tabish, Tariq Raza, Naseem Akhtar, Shahnaz Qadri, Altaf Ayoub, Waked Ahmed Hayat, Dr Bhagwati, Vijaya Thakur, Ashiya Qadri, Yasna Bano, Anchal Gupta, Jahangir Javed, Parveen Hari Purwasi, Danish Iqbal, Mohammad Sayad, Sarita Khajuria, and Deepak Pathania were the eminent poets of the event. Apfan Ali conducted the proceedings of the Mushaira.

The youth, in multitude, participated in the event to witness the grandeur of the literary expression. The Cultural Academy's effort in promoting cultural sensitivities is receiving aplaud from the art and culture connoisseurs of the region.
