Meeting of District level Bio-Diversity Management Committee was held today under the chairmanship of Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal, here at Forest Information Center Bhaderwah.

The Committee members, vice Chairperson DDC Sangeeta Bhagat, Conservator Forest Chenab Circle, Dr Jatinder Singh; Secretary, Dr Sumit Kotwal and DFO Bhaderwah Chander Shekar attended the meeting. At the outset, Dr Sumit highlighted the salient features of the Biodiversity Act 2002 and also the functions of the District Level Biodiversity Management Committee. 

The Chairman, while talking to the media, thanked the government for constituting District level Biodiversity Management Committee and stressed upon the protection and preservation of natural resources by the citizens.
