Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal on Friday kick started the construction work of Village Rainda JJM Water Supply Scheme in presence of DDC west Yudhvir Thakur; BDC Chairman Omi Chand; ADC Bhaderwah Dilmir Choudhary; Executive Engineer JSD, and PRIs of the area.
The WSS is being constructed under Jal Jeevan Mission by Jal Shakti department at an estimated cost of Rs 1.90 crore. The DDC chairman, while speaking on the occasion, thanked PM Narinder Modi for the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission.
“The Mission will make the life of our mothers and sisters easier by providing them easy access to water within the comfort of their homes,” he added. The DDC chairman requested the LG administration to intervene to strike a close coordination between JAL Shakti and Forest department so that the allotted works were completed in a time bound manner. The DDC chairman directed the executing agency to ensure the quality of work.
