DLTC proposes SoF of all Agricultural Crops for the year 2023-24

Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, today chaired a District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) meeting at DC office to propose the Scale of Finance (SoF) for the year 2023-24 (Kharif & Rabi) for all Agricultural crops including Horticulture Crops, Animal / Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries.

Chief Agriculture Officer, Anil Gupta, who is also Member Secretary of the Committee, presented the draft of the proposal. The meeting discussed different issues and the need for revision of the existing scale of finance in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry sectors for Kissan Credit Card (KCC) holders of the district. 

The Committee unanimously proposed a 7% increase on the existing scale.The DC emphasised on propagation of composite Agricultural practices in unison with all the departments dealing with Agricultural and allied activities. 

He stressed on shifting to high density and improved variety of crops and Horticultural plants.He desired that technical know-how and hand holding be extended to the farmers of the district to enhance and double their income.

Among others, ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, CAO Doda Anil Gupta ( Member Secretary of the committee), CHO Doda, CAHO Doda, DSHO Doda, LDM Doda, AD Floriculture, Managing Director, Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (Convener of the Committee), and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
