On Friday, the killer who has been linked to the murder of Dera Sacha Sauda follower Pardeep Kataria was apprehended. Known as Harshdeep Singh Bajwa, a student of Panjab University, Chandigarh has been connected to the case. It has been reported that Bajwa has transferred Rs 20,000 to the sharpshooter, Manpreet Singh Manni. He was arrested along with Bhupinder Singh Goldy on November 17. They are associates of Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar.
Not only these two, but Harshdeep Singh Bajwa also has connections with renowned gangster Goldy Brar. “Harshdeep was in direct touch with Goldy Brar. He also had connections with gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh Landa and his brother Tarsem Singh Harike. He had transferred ₹20,000 to Manni’s account three days before Kataria’s murder,” said a senior police officer, who is a part of the investigation.

During his arrest, it was reported that he was in police custody for three days. But now the update on the case has been released. Harshdeep Singh Bajwa is in 14 days of judicial custody. According to information obtained, the authorities are currently attempting to apprehend a prominent member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
In the case brought by the Mohali special operation cell on October 28 against 11 people for allegedly illegally importing weapons and ammunition into Punjab in an effort to disturb the peace, Harshdeep has been named as a defendant.
Sections 153, 153-A, 212, 216, and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25 of the Arms Act are included in the first information report (FIR).
