After the demise of Sidhu Moose Wala in broad daylight, much similar news has been making the headlines. Recently, a murder that took place in Patti in Punjab's Tarn Taran district has been caught on CCTV cameras. Two youths who came on a bike entered the readymade garments shop and shot the owner with bullets. The bullets were fired so mercilessly that the owner died on the spot. Lakhbir Singh Landa, a gangster living in Canada, has also taken responsibility for this by posting a post on social media.
Reason Behind Gurjant’s Murder
Landa has claimed responsibility for Gurjant Singh's death by posting a post on social media. Landa said that Gurjant had colluded with the police and he spoiled his brother Arshdeep Bhatti's life. Gurjant was about to join the police force. He had also demanded a ransom from his family, but at the order of a friend, he left him without taking any money, but Gurjant had become a pimp for the police. Landa also wrote that they will spare any broker. “We did the work (murder) of Gurjant, we did it publicly.”
Landa Issues Warning To The Police
In the post, Landa also warns the police. Landa has written in the post that if they go to their homes and harass the family or relatives, like before, then next time they will also go to your (police) houses. According to Landa, the police put 35-40 boys in jail at the behest of their broker, who were innocent.
“The next 35-40 boys will go to jail only after doing something. So, whoever betrays us, there is no forgiveness for him. The elders had told the truth that if you want to rule in the forest, you have to be an animal with an animal. Now they will keep taking all the rights, due to which they had to leave the house.”
Meanwhile, Gurjant Singh's father, Ajaib Singh, said that Lakhbir Singh Landa, a Canadian criminal, was making threats against the family of Ajaib Singh, who runs a Dhaba on a major thoroughfare. Due to these threats, Ajaib Singh sent one of his sons, Joban, to Canada. The police have also begun an inquiry into a number of different issues by recording the statements of Gurjant Singh's mother and wife. The family of Ajaib Singh received repeated demands for ransom.

While inspecting the location, Inspector Gurcharan Singh, SP (I) Vishaljit Singh, and DSP (I) Jaswant Singh checked all recorded videos from CCTV cameras installed in the store. The boys in the video seem to be between the ages of 18 and 22. The shopkeeper was first asked to display the clothes by both assassins, who had been in the store for roughly five minutes. The employee displayed the clothing, but the young man in black told Gurjant Singh that the items on the rack should also be displayed. The state accused shot Gurjant seven times in the back as he went to get the garments.
Gurjant Singh stumbled and hit the ground during this. Seven to eight rounds were fired by a different teen who was sporting a checkered shirt. The SP (I) Vishaljit Singh, stated that different factors are the subject of an investigation. After an inquiry, the cause of the murder will be revealed.
