AWAS Diwas was today celebrated under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav across all the Blocks of District Doda. The programmes were attended by the Officers of Rural Development, Panchayat Raj institutions, general public and PMAY (G) beneficiaries. 

The public was educated about the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas (G) Yojana.The permanent wait lists were displayed and the status of various houses was also discussed. Griha Pravesh ceremonies were also conducted in the completed houses.

Assistant Commissioner Development, Phulail Singh participated in AWAS Diwas at Panchayat Dradhoo of Block Bhaderwah. He deliberated upon the features of the PMAY (G) scheme, listened to the grievances of the people and interacted with the PMAY (G) beneficiaries.

The programme was also attended by Block Development Officer Bhaderah, Sarpanch Ashok Sharma, Other PRI's and general public. ACD also inspected various PMAY houses during the visit to the Panchayat.Similar programmes were organized in other Panchayats and Block headquarters.
