Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, today flagged off a group of 20 students and escort teachers for participating in Divisional level Kala Utsav-2022, competition.The 'Kala Utsav-2022', Division level competition in 10 art forms is going to be held at Teachers’ Bhawan Jammu from 21st of Nov to 23rd of Nov.

Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Ministry of Education under Samgra Shiksha to promote art in Education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talents of secondary School students.Earlier, School level, Zonal level / District level events were held in the district and the winners of District level events shall now participate in the Division level event.

Interacting with the students, the DC Doda said that  such events are held underline  the fact that the Education is not only classroom transactions but it also aims to strengthen and transmit the cultural diversity of the nation.

He stressed upon the teachers to motivate the students to participate in such activities. Director Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak and CEO Doda Prahlad Bhagat were also present on the occasion.
