Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, today held a full- day public interaction session at Panchayat Ghar Sundla Block Khoon of district Udhampur and took stock of the developmental works taken up under the Centrally Sponsored Schemes, District Plan, State Plan, NABARD and other heads.
She was accompanied by local and sectoral heads of the line departments as well as executing agencies.The PRIs of Block Khoon took part in the camp while giving feedback as to how government policies and programmes are delivering in their respective areas.
Pathania called for speeding up the tendering process and ensuring that all works in the Plan are completed at the earliest. She also warned against execution of works of lesser quality.She called upon PWD authorities to immediately restore Babey to Laa Road and submit DPRs regarding Dhar road to Sortha Road.
She further said that the road from Gadena to Kut shall be taken up under NABARD very soon. She was further informed that tendering process for Balpur to Babey (Kamthala) road would be started soon and work on Rs 9 crore up-gradation programme shall be initiated by JKRRDA.
She also called for making good the deficiencies on Dhemma to Thial road as the cross drainage as well as the protection work on the said road has eroded thereby impugning the traffic flow on the said road.
While taking stock of Mini stadium Choughan, she said that the cricket pitch needs to be upgraded by the Sports council. She further called for immediate execution of leftover works by the sports council and hoped that the said ground will become the epicenter of sports activities in the entire Tehsil of Majalta.
She also called for submission of land papers for Kendriya Vidyalaya.Among others, Raman Khajuria Sarpanch, Chain Singh, Sarpanch, Manoj Verma, Sarpanch, Mohan Lal, Sarpanch, Surinder Kumar, Tirth Ram Naib Sarpanch Babey were present on the occasion.
