The Department of Biochemistry, Government Medical College, Doda, organized a one day Screening Camp with the theme Diabetes and Obesity. The people from all walks of life participated in the event with great zeal and around 250 blood samples were collected for Biochemistry Investigations (Blood sugar and Lipid Profile).
A total of 1000 investigations were performed on Automatic Analyzers and the reports were issued on the same day. The Screening Camp was inaugurated by the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Noor Ali and Prof. (Dr.) Tariq Parvez Azad (Founder Principal, GMC, Doda).
The Medical Superintendent, Associated Hospital, GMC, Doda along with the Heads of different Departments participated in the said event.Earlier, Prof (Dr.) Kumudini Borole, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Organizing Chairperson, formally welcomed the dignitaries, while Dr. Mir Kaisar Ahmad, Organizing Secretary proposed the vote of thanks. The Teaching and Technical Staff of the Biochemistry Department worked tirelessly to make this event a grand success.
