District administration today discussed a plan to check and restrict the slight increase in Typhoid and Dengue cases in the district here at a meeting of stakeholder departments chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

At the outset, District Epidemiologist Umar Khan informed that 2 cases of Dengue are ELISA confirmed while 17 cases are NS1 confirmed in the district, while 30 cases of Typhoid were detected in the district last week.

Instructions were given to Jal Shakti department and Municipalities regarding sanitation, fogging and chlorination of water tanks. Health department was directed to nominate  nodal officers for reporting the fever cases, suspected cases and confirmed cases of Dengue and Typhoid to the higher authorities as well as to the DC office on a daily basis.

The DC asked Principal GMC and CMO to get all the fever cases for ELISA test and widal test for confirmation of Dengue and Typhoid.Meeting was attended by ADC DODA, ADC Bhadarwah, CMO Doda and District Epidemiologist Doda.
