District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Jammu, in collaboration with DLSA Jammu, organised a legal awareness camp in Village Chhurta, Block Dansal, today. As many as 100 women and PRIS of adjoining villages attended the programme.
Advocate Deepali Kapoor, Advocate Mamta Kumari and Advocate Shahala Rafiqi were the resource persons who sensitized women about their legal rights. The women were also made aware about the government schemes and services.
On the occasion, the contribution of the pro-active women of the area was recognised. District Mission Coordinator DHEW, Shagun Manchanda, Gender Specialists Arushi Jamwal and Khushboo Kapthe, Sarpanch Village Churta Pyare Lal Sharma, Sarpanch Village Janakha Kuldeep Kumar, Social Worker Yog Raj and staff of OSC Jammu were also present on the occasion.
