To make the best use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Computer Aided Learning (CAL) in Teaching, Learning and Evaluation, Chief Education Officer Poonch, Bishamber Dass today inaugurated a five Day workshop here in Dina Nath Memorial Girls HSS.

Over 500 Lecturers, Teachers and School Nodal Officers (SNOs) from all the ICT Labs, CAL Centers shall be trained on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the teaching and learning process.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO Poonch, Bishamber Dass said, “During the five day training program the Teachers from over 200 Schools across the Poonch district shall learn about the modern techniques of teaching with the help of ICT and shall connect all the 1494 Schools comprising of over 90,000 students”

“I am glad to say that Poonch district will be the first district in Jammu and Kashmir UT to fully implement the concept of Clusterization and resource Management and Learning Management system”  Bishamber Dass Added.

DEPO Poonch, N M Suri, in his address, encouraged the trainees and asked them to work passionately to bring quality education in Poonch district and become role models for other teachers.Darshan Bharti and Harish Sharma, (Master Trainers in ICT, trained from Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai) and Danish Naveed resource Person were the Resource persons, who trained the trainees in the five day training program.
