World Heart Day was celebrated at the Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital (RBDCH) on organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry under the guidance of Dr. SS Gill, Dean, Medical Sciences, Dr Vimal Kalia, Principal and Dr.Ramandeep Gambhir, Head of the Department.
Salad decorating competition and quiz competitions were the highlights of these celebrations. Interns and final year students created awesome designs using fruits and vegetables around a common theme depicting the importance of a healthy heart.
The quiz competition was a fun-filled event where interns, students and faculty members enthusiastically participated.Meanwhile, to mark the International Geriatric Day the Department of Prosthodontics of the RBDCH organised an educational and motivational lecture for the elderly patients on “Post insertion instructions and denture care”.
In the presence of Dr SS Gill, Dean, Medical Sciences, and Dr. Vimal Kalia, Principal, the department also distributed free denture boxes to the elderly, after the lecture. The department also organised a poster competition for students, which witnessed enthusiastic participation.
