J&K Bank establishes Special Counter at SMVD Bhawan on Navratra

On the eve of Navratri, J&K Bank today established a Special Counter at its Business Unit in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan to offer fresh cash currency and note exchange facility to the devotees visiting the famous Shrine.

CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), Anshul Garg and Bank’s GM & Divisional Head Jammu, Sunit Kumar inaugurated the Fresh Cash/Note Exchange Counter in presence of Zonal Head Udhampur Rajesh Gupta, SDM Sudhir Bali, Tehsildar Anil Charak, Manager Bhawan Pardeep Jamwal, DSP Bhawan Nikhil Rasgotra, Head Pandit Gopal Sharma, officers of the Bank besides devotees from different corners of the country.

Speaking on the occasion CEO SMVDSB lauded the efforts of J&K Bank in conducting such programs for the pilgrims and also for providing all banking services to SMVD Board and its employees. He also appreciated the bank’s role in providing latest banking services all along the route for the pilgrims.

Earlier, while welcoming the dignitaries General Manager Sunit Kumar thanked the Shrine Board for its continuous patronage and support to the bank and assured of best services to the SMVD Board, devotees and public at large.

“Operating at the Bhawan since the constitution of the SMVDSB, our branch is dedicated to serve the shrine board, establishments at the Bhawan, people working there and all the devotees visiting the famous shrine.

A team of officials has also been dedicated full time to assist the board for management of cash received as public offering at the shrine”, Sunit Kumar said, adding that the bank has established three branches and installed nine ATMs starting from Katra to the Bhawan to provide easily accessible banking services to the devotees visiting the shrine from different parts of the country besides facilitating fresh cash, exchange of notes on special occasions like Navratra.

Notably, prior to inauguration on the auspicious occasion of first Navratra, General Manager Sunit Kumar performed Pooja within the branch premises along with Zonal Head Udhampur and all the staff members of J&K Bank.The function concluded with vote of thanks from Zonal Head Udhampur Rajesh Gupta who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries present on the occasion.
