DDC Rajouri reviews measures to curb drug menace

District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the measures being put in place to curb the menace of drug abuse in the district.At the outset of the meeting, the DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt highlighted scores of measures being taken to curb the menace of drug abuse in the district.

DSWO informed that a series of activities including awareness events, mass pledge ceremonies are being organised to educate stakeholders about I'll effects of drug abuse and these activities will be intensified in the coming days.Addressing the meeting, the DDC said that the District Administration is working on a multipronged strategy to eradicate the menace of drug abuse in the district and the need of the hour was to redouble efforts in this regard.

He also asked the concerned officers to work in close coordination and make dedicated efforts to make Rajouri a drug free district and keep the youth on the right track so that they can contribute their best towards development of the Nation.The DDC appealed to the people to work hand in hand with the District Administration in the fight against drug abuse and said that it is a collective responsibility of society to join this fight against the drug menace.
