While presiding over the meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) held at the meeting hall of the District Administrative Complex, Chairman of the Committee and Member Lok Sabha from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Manish Tiwari reviewed the progress of the centrally sponsored schemes being run by the Government of India. 

He issued guidelines to the officials of various departments and instructed them that the amount received from time to time should be used in a transparent manner for implementing various schemes.After reviewing the various schemes, Member Parliament expressed satisfaction over the ongoing development works in the district. Deputy Commissioner Amit Talwar was also present during the meeting.

At the onset Deputy Commissioner Mr. Amit Talwar gave detailed presentation about the development works going on in the district under the centrally sponsored schemes. Mr. Tiwari reviewed the PWD, Central Works Division, Punjab Mandi Board Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Water Supply and Sanitation, Soil Conservation Department, District Social Security Department, Animal Husbandry Department, Fisheries, Agriculture, District Education Department (Elementary) and (Secondary), MGNREGA, Livelihood mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, District Welfare Department, Punjab Skill Development Mission, Health Department, RSETI scheme, horticulture and the progress of implementation of other central government schemes.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Amit Talwar also gave information about the successful implementation of the flagship programs of the Punjab government for the convenience of the people in the district.During the meeting, Pawan Dewan, District Forest Officer Kanwardeep Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Navjot Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amaninder Kaur Brar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Pooja  Grewal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amardeep Singh Gujral, SDM Mohali Sarabjit Kaur, SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh, Civil Surgeon Adarshpal Kaur, District Development and Panchayat Officer Amaninder Singh, Chairperson Zila Parishad Jaswinder Kaur along with heads and officers of other departments were also present.
