Sanjeev Arora directs NHAI to clear debris along Elevated Ferozepur Road project within a week

In order to ensure seamless movement of traffic and ease traffic for commuters, Rajya Sabha Member Sanjeev Arora on Thursday directed National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials to immediately clear all debris from service lanes along the elevated road project on Ludhiana-Ferozepur four lane highway within a week. 

The NHAI Project Director Krishan Sachdeva assured the MP that this work would be completed on war footing within a week.MP held detailed deliberations over various road infrastructure projects being executed by NHAI in district and asked the officers to speed up the pace of works being carried out on the project and complete within set timelines. 

He said commuters travelling along the elevated road project on Ludhiana-Ferozepur four lane highway were harried a lot due to careless attitude of executive agencies and debris must be cleared within a week so that people could travel smoothly. 

He said that he would meet NHAI Chairman on September 6 to discuss the various road infrastructure projects besides demanding a relook in the design of Bharat Nagar Chowk flyover if possible, on which some businessmen were raising doubts.

Arora was chairing a meeting with the officials of district administration and other departments in the district administrative complex. He also took a detailed review of the situation of Lumpy Skin Disease in the Ludhiana and said only six percent cattle were affected with this disease here.

He also asked the officers to accord top priority to the works of public welfare so that benefits of the pro-people and development-oriented policies of AAP government could reach to th```e people at grass root level.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik, Chief Administrator GLADA Amarpreet Sandhu, ADCs Rahul Chaba and Amarjit Bains, ACA GLADA Amrinder Malhi, besides several others.
