A darbar of all ranks of Fire & Emergency Services Jammu Province was held today here at Fire & Emergency Services Headquarters Gandhi Nagar by Alok Kumar, ADGP, Director Fire & Emergency Services J&K.

The Darbar started with a warm welcome to the Director F&ES by R.K Raina, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services Command Jammu.Other officers present on the occasion were Accounts Officer, Medical Officer, Divisional Fire Officer city, Foreman workshop Jammu etc.

 Representatives of all ranks of all stations of Jammu province participated in the Darbar and put forth their grievances and genuine demands/issues one by one. The main demand of almost all ranks/ representatives was removal of pay anomalies, provision of hardship allowance, uniform allowance and stagnation at various cadres. 

The  Head of the Department gave a patient hearing to each and every demand and up-gradation of living conditions and improvement of machinery and equipment report. Enough time was provided to all those who had come to attend the darbar and desired to report.

Addressing the Darbar, Alok Kumar ADGP, Director Fire & Emergency Services J&K, appreciated the role of officers, jawans at fire ground and assured them that genuine demands and grievances shall be addressed as per rules in vogue and other demands shall be taken up with the administrative department for active consideration. 

He further asked the jawans to keep their morale high. “Always be ready to perform your duty  to save the precious lives and valuable property during unseen calamities, maintain discipline at the fire places and upkeep tools and machinery to deal with emergency situation” the ADGP advised the Firemen.
