The Mission Director, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Shakti, Harvinder Kour, who is on two day inspection tour to District Kishtwar, on Wednesday, reviewed the functioning of One Stop Centre, District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee and Bal Ashram.Accompanied by District Child Protection Officer Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmed Lone, she reviewed the implementation of Mission Vatsalya in the district.

The officials of respective units of Mission Vatsalya Unit Kishtwar informed the chair in detail about the achievements made so far by the respective units.During her visit to the Bal Ashram Kishtwar, she inspected different sections and sought details regarding medical care being provided to the children of the home.She emphasized on maintaining cleanliness in and around the CCI, besides enquiring about Covid mitigation steps being taken for safety of the inmates.

After interacting with the inmates of the Bal Ashram, she urged concerned officers to further improve the functioning of Child Care Institutions.Hailing the role of officials for making progress on Child welfare in the district, she enjoined upon them to work in consonance with the fresh guidelines of Mission Vatsalya so that better outcomes are achieved.

Impressing upon the stakeholders to work in synergy, the Mission Director assured all possible assistance for making all units effective and vibrant.The MD also visited the identified building for CCI and directed the DCPO for its immediate functioning.
