Er. Ritu Jamwal, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, today flagged off "Har Ghar Tiranga" Rally (PADYATRA) of staff and students  here in presence of HODs of different  departments of the institution to commemorate 75' Year of Independence under AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAVA- the Government of India's initiative to inculcate the national values of oneness, harmony and universal brotherhood and to amplify a personal connection between the citizens of India and the National Flag. 

Over 50 students, along with staff members, participated with great enthusiasm to celebrate 75' year of Independent India. The Padhyatra started from the college premises to Panama Chowk along the Police Line road to Jammu University road and back to the college via Vikram Chowk.

Speaking at the event, the Principal encouraged the participants to join hands to make India vibrant and strong as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotav is an intensive country-wide campaign which will focus on citizen participation and be converted into JAN ANDOLAN where small change at the local level will add up to significant national gains. 

The event was well organized by Tareq Amin, Manish Kumar,  Ajay Thapa,  P.K.Angral,  Rishab Sharma,  Chamel Singh,  Toshi Devi and  Talib Hussain.
