Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi under the leadership of Principal Dr. Chander Shekhar and under the aegis of IQAC celebrated Digital J&K Week on its campus.The weeklong event was celebrated in line with the motto of the Department of Computer Science to spread awareness about IT initiatives among masses.

After the inauguration of the digital J&K week celebration, faculty of Computer Sciences, Prof. Ameeq Rehman, Rakhi Billawria laid emphasis on the awareness about the initiatives taken by J&K Govt for providing Digital services to the masses. They emphasized that this is the way forward and would be the only way to achieve success in the digital world.

During the week-long celebration, a series of activities were organized including online quiz competition, offline quiz competition, Debate competition, poster making competition, presentation on digital services awareness, including visit of students to DC office, Reasi in digital awareness mela. 

In all activities, many students of the college participated with enthusiasm and various presentations were made by them to create the general awareness regarding different digital platforms like Digilocker, e-UNNAT, e-IGRAMS, UMANG, ePathshala, MyGov App etc. 

Each day there was a presentation and digital awareness was created among students of the college. The students took selfies with the digital notice board displaying numerous digital initiatives taken by the government.

 The weeklong event concluded with a detailed presentation on various digital initiatives taken by the J&K Government by the faculty members of department of Computer Science, GDC Reasi. 

Worthy principal of GGZSMDC Reasi, Dr. Chander Shekhar finally appreciated the contribution of the faculty members and students in the digital J&K week celebration. He also awarded the students who participated in the various activities of the event. The programme was attended by many students and faculty of the college.
