President Elections 2022: Election Material Reaches Punjab Safely

The election materials dispatched by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the conduct of Presidential Election 2022 has been reached safely at Punjab Vidhan Sabha in Chandigarh on Tuesday, said Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab Dr S Karuna Raju here. The Presidential Election 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 18, 2022.

The election material includes designated ballot boxes, ballot papers, special pens, and other sealed election materials were brought from Chandigarh Airport to Punjab Vidhan Sabha amid tight security.

CEO Dr Raju said that Electoral Officer Punjab Bharat Bhushan Bansal and Joint Secretary-cum-Assistant Returning Officer Punjab Vidhan Sabha Ram Lok Khatana had recieved election material from Election Commission of India and brought it to Punjab by air.

He said that the election material has been stored in the strong room established at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha under the supervision of Secretary Vidhan Sabha Surinder Pal Singh. The election material will remain under strict vigil round-the-clock, he added.
