One of the oldest and most popular sitcoms Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah news has been grabbing a lot of attention these days. First, the reports of Shailesh Lodha leaving the show have been making the headlines then Munmun Dutta, and now the comeback of Daya ben. Though producer Asit Modi has already dropped his statement, however later, Disha’s brother Mayur Vakani confirmed she will return to the show. Now Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Champaklal Gada speaks on the same matter. Dilip Joshi said to the news portal, “It has been five years since Disha has been on a break from the show.
Now, whether she will come back or not, only the production house knows and I would not like to get into it. Also, I am happy that the viewers continue to shower the same love and attention that they used to when Daya was shooting.” For nearly a decade, Dilip Joshi has been filming for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He also expressed the same thing, stating that the show is still adored by the public after all these years. “The show has been running for the past 10 years and if it was not entertaining viewers or the gags were not working, the makers would not have continued. But, as an actor, I am enjoying shooting for the show and as a viewer, I feel Taarak Mehta…. continues to be entertaining," he added.
Asit Kumar Modi, the producer of TMKOC, has stated that Dayaben will appear on the show soon. He also indicated that Dayaben will be returning to the screen this year alone. “We have no reason to not get back Daya Ben’s character. But we all have faced difficult times in the recent past. 2020-21 was a very tough phase for all of us. But now that things have got better, in 2022 koi bhi acche samay par we are going to bring back the character of Daya Ben and the audience will once again get to see the entertainment of Jethalal and Daya Bhabhi," he said. Meanwhile, In 2017, Disha Vakani went on a maternity break and she hasn’t returned to the show ever since. Recently, she embraced motherhood once again when she welcomed her 2nd baby – a boy.
