A piece of sad news for the fans of Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, after everyone’s favourite Dayaben (Disha Vakani ), now TV actor Shailesh Lodha, who plays the role of Taarak, is quitting the show. It has been reported that the popular actor had not been shooting for around one month. Shailesh earns immense love for his portrayal of Taarak. The actor has been associated with the show ever since it kick-started in 2008. In the show, his friendship with Jethalal (Dilip Joshi). A source informed, "Shailesh has not been shooting for the show for the last one month and has no plans to return to the show. He is not very happy with his contract and he feels that his dates are not properly used in the show. 

One of the other reasons behind taking this decision is with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, the talented actor is not able to explore other opportunities due to the exclusivity factor." "He has turned down multiple offers in recent times and now he doesn't want to waste other opportunities that keep coming his way. The production house is trying its best to convince Shailesh to stay back but looks like the seasoned actor and well-known poet has already made up his mind.," the reports also added.Speaking of the show, the popular sitcom has not only managed to run the longest on television but it has also received a special place in the audience's hearts while constantly delivering powerful messages. The show TMKOC revolves around members of Gokuldham society that is situated in Mumbai. Now, all we have to see is how the show will manage to entertain the audience without Dayaben and Taarak Mehta.
