The responsibility being played by the media in the society is very important and the journalists should take care of all the aspects of any matter while writing their news. This has been revealed by the Deputy Commissioner Smt. Sakshi Sahni. Addressing a gathering organized on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day at Patiala Media Club here today, the Deputy Commissioner said that media has an important role in keeping the society alert. 

He said that whenever any incident happens in the society, the manner in which the news is presented by the media, it is very important. He said that the media should oppose any coercion. He also mentioned a poem Raazi Nazi period on this occasion and said that journalism should be done keeping in mind its deeper meanings.Giving a keynote speech in this conference, Sardar Ajit Kanwal Singh Hamdard, former Joint Director, Information and Public Relations Department said that while writing news for journalists, one should not get carried away by the flow of emotions, but should do their work only after thinking very carefully. .

Sardar Ishwinder Singh Grewal, Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations Department, also discussed the role of media in the society and cited some incidents to say that the work done with responsibility is beneficial for everyone in the society. The Secretary General, Mr. Rana Randhir Singh, welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and other guests at the event. Treasurer Mr. Khushveer Toor threw light on the activities of the club. Senior Journalist Gagandeep Singh Ahuja and Director of Nabha Power Ltd. Manish Sirhandi also presented their views and in the end, President Navdeep Dhingra thanked the dignitaries who came. 

The stage management chairman Sarabjit Singh Bhangu played well.On this occasion, Corona Vaccination Camp was also organized by the club in association with HelpAge India and Health Department, in which 40 people got the vaccine. The Deputy Commissioner and others were honored by giving mementoes on behalf of the club.On this occasion, Chief Spokesperson Sardar Ajit Kanwal Singh and Deputy Director Ishwinder Singh Grewal on behalf of Van Mandal Extension Patiala and on behalf of the other side planted Gulmohar sapling in Club Complex to commemorate the ceremony. Forest Beat Officer Aman Arora performed the ceremony of planting saplings. Assistant Public Relations Officers Mr. Hardeep Singh and Mr. Jastaran Singh participated in the meeting.
