Under the stewardship of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann the Punjab government is committed towards strengthening health facilities in the state. In order to give a short in arm to the present health system, Punjab government is soon going to recruit around 9,000 doctors and paramedics in the state.The minister for Health and Family Welfare Punjab Dr Vijay Singla said while presiding over state level function held to observe World Malaria Day at Mansa today.He added that the state government was committed towards providing the best of infrastructure for the health sector. in order to assure safety of the people vector borne diseases like Malaria and dengue, the state government will soon be buying 100 fogging machines worth Rs 50 lacs. 

Besides this free treatment for vector borne diseases is already being provided at the government run hospitals. He said that the health department was working around the clock to make Punjab declared Malaria free by the year 2024. Earlier speaking at the event Budhlada MLA principal Budh Ram said that the previous government had never worked towards improving the condition of common man's life. Instead the present government's entire focus was to create a comfort zone for the common people.Sardulgarh MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali appreciated the efforts of government by holding block health fairs and asked that such health fairs should also be held regularly at the village level. 

Deputy commissioner Mansa Jaspreet Singh issued the health minister that district administration Mansa was committed towards putting an end to the vector borne diseases through the means of providing the best of Health Services as well as creating awareness among the people. The health minister honored health officials of districts Amritsar, Barnala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Firozpur, Patiala, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, SBS Nagar, Sangrur ans Tarn Taran for showing excellent work in controlling vector borne diseases.On this occasion SSP Mansa Mr Gaurav Toora, SDM Sardulgarh Manisha Rana, SDM Mansa Harjinder Singh Jassal, Dr. OP Goojra, Dr. Rakesh Sehgal, Dr Gagandeep Singh Grover, Dr. Umesh Chawla, Dr. Janak Raj were also present.
