In recognition of the contribution of officers/employees in assembly polls, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Wednesday felicitated as many as 44 more officials with letters of appreciation here at the District Administrative Complex, Jalandhar during a simple but impressive event.Congratulating the officials including District Level Nodal officers, Assistant Nodal Officers, Master Trainers and others, the DC lauded their significant efforts and contribution in the conduct of smooth, free, fair and transparent polls. He said that this huge exercise was carried out in the district in a transparent manner due to the excellent services rendered by the officers and employees of various departments. 

The administration had deployed nearly 20,000 civil and police personnel to ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of elections while observing covid appropriate behavior including proper disposal of bio-medical waste, he said. He also mentioned that door to door ballot voting facilities were also provided to PWD and voters aged above 80 years, who had opted for this service. He called upon the officers / employees to maintain the same passion and dedication towards their professional responsibilities in future also. 

The officers / staff who received the commendation letter thanked Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori for acknowledging their services and reiterated the commitment to discharge their duties diligently in future also.
