A One day workshop on Employment Generation Programmes was held today at ITI Kupwara by J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB). Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB presided over the event. District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din; General Manager DIC Kupwara, Senior Officers from J&K KVIB, Lead Bank Manager Kupwara, Officers from ITI Kupwara, Officers from District administration, line departments, bank officers and educated unemployed youth/aspirant entrepreneurs attended the said workshop. Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB in her address encouraged the aspirant entrepreneurs to come forward and be agents of positive change in UT of J&K. She urged them to explore the possibilities of establishing their own micro enterprises. 

She impressed upon the youth to utilize their energy in a positive manner by establishing different self employment generating units. Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner Kupwara underscored the need for involving more and more aspirants and stressed for encouraging them to set-up their own employment generation units.It was informed that from 2019-20 till date, margin money of Rs. 377.18 crores has been released for establishment of 16724 units thereby creating employment opportunities for 128022 persons in Kashmir Division under JKREGP and PMEGP.  Earlier, detailed PPTs on employment generation programmes viz. JKREGP and PMEGP were given in the workshop. The Bank Officers acclimatized the participants about the procedure and processes involved in processing of loan cases. During the interactive session, participants raised various issues which were responded to by concerned officers.
