As the 20th of February draws near, politics in the Mohali constituency is gaining momentum.  According to Sanyukt Samaj Morcha candidate Ravneet Brar, a large number of people in the constituency are in the mood to give a chance to the SSM this time.During the election campaign in the villages of the constituency Ballomajra, Jujhar Nagar etc., Brar said that he had noticed that not only the educated people of the urban area but also a large number of villagers especially the farmer's community showing fully sided with him.Criticizing the Sitting Congress MLA Balbir Sidhu, Brar said, " people of Mohali constituency have witnessed Balbir Sidhu's familial politics for last 15 years.  The corruption committed by Balbir Sidhu while he was the Health Minister in which PPE kit scam, Gaushala land scam, Shamlat land grabbing and many other acts are on the lips of every child of Mohali today."

Targeting Newly joined bourgeoisie in the Aam Aadmi Party Kulwant Singh,  Brar said that everyone knew that Kulwant Singh is a big business tycoon as well as enjoying the pleasures of power by playing opportunistic politics with Akali Dal and Congress.  Now that both these parties have come to know the reality of Kulwant Singh, he now wants to enjoy power through the Aam Aadmi Party. He also asked the Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Parminder Sohana to focus on eliminating factions among the Akali leaders of Mohali before explaining the policies of the Akali Dal to the people of Mohali.Criminal cases have also been registered against Congress candidate Balbir Sidhu and Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Parminder Sohana.  Citing these, Ravneet Brar said that there is a lot of discussion among the general public and at present, there is a movement in the Mohali constituency in favour of an SSM which could be clearly felt.
