The department of District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Wednesday organized a District Level Declamation contest to mark Good Governance week campaign.Over 50 youth from different blocks of the district participated in the event held on the theme Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas.Vice Chairperson DDC Doda Sangeeta Bhagat presides over the function.Adopting an innovative approach   to sensitize youth about accountability, transparency as a need of the system, the Toppers from different blocks were invited by NYK to speak on the topic “Nation Building and Governance". Each participant was given 8 -10 minutes to speak on the subject. The student speakers delivered thought provoking speeches reflecting their deep understanding of the good governance practices. 

Later, the AD Employment spoke on Good Governance initiatives taken by UT administration for bringing transparency, accountability and user friendly public services delivery mechanism for the welfare of the general public.Ifra Batool bagged the trophy for bagging first position. DDC Vice chairperson congratulated the participants and lauded the efforts of NYK and the Employment Department for conducting the programme.Among the participants present during the programme were several lecturers, DYO, National Youth volunteers, TOT of NYKs, officials of Employment Dept, NYK members besides other officers of various departments were also present.
