Calling the entrepreneurs of the food industry as heralds of transformation, Deputy Chief Minister O.P. Soni on Tuesday conferred upon 22 owners of Restaurants and Food Joints here in a function organized by RS Foundation.Addressing the gathering. Mr. Soni said that these restaurants and food joints have played a vanguard role to bolster the tourism sector in the state. He said that the Punjab government was committed to further developing the tourism and food-related industry in the state.Specially attended the function, Renowned Chef Padam Shree Sanjeev Kapoor said that Punjabi food is becoming more and more popular all over the world but the owners of the restaurants of Punjab should pay special attention to the nutritional value of the food.

On this occasion, Anmol Kwatra, Anish Slath, YP Sikka, Abhishek Dutt, Pilot Arun Hooda, Dr. Kanupreet Arora and Owners of Murthy Foods, Bhaina Da Dhaba, Barista Khanna, Oven Express, Lifestyle Hotels & Resorts, Dimsum Box, Haveli Jalandhar, Uncle Jack, Cloud Kitchen (Gourmet), Rishika Foods, Satnamia Junction, Gaurav Nagpali, Anirudh Thakur, Back to Source-Cafe Wellbeing, Spartan, Pal Dhaba, Orika, Dhaba 7, Baba Dairy, Sindhi Sweets, Katani 35, King Hills Travels and Kartar Bakery, have got the awards.Director SRS Foundation, Dr. Sajan Sharma said that our organization is striving hard to make the restaurants and Food Joints of the state of Punjab, famous all over the world. Among others present on the occasion included MLA Gurpreet Singh GP from Bassi Pathana and MLA Harjot Kamal Singh from Moga and SSP Chandigarh Kuldeep Singh Chahal.
