Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Health, Public Works and Power Minister Satyendar Jain held discussions with local traders, merchants, shopkeepers and transporters under 'Meeting with Businessmen and Traders' program conducted by AAP at Sri Anandpur Sahib. "After the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, all truck unions will be formed and trade will be made corruption free and easy," Jain said during addressing the gathering. Four Astro Turf stadiums will be constructed at Sri Anandpur Sahib, added AAP leader.Earlier, Satyendar Jain paid obeisance at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and prayed for the prosperity and progress of Punjab. He was accompanied by the constituency in-charge Harjot Singh Bains and other key leaders of the constituency.Truck operators, shopkeepers and traders of the area briefed Satyendar Jain about their problems and needs.
Bhupinder Singh Atwal said that illegal mining was rampant in his area and there was no solution. Parveen Kumar, a former employee of PACL, said it was running at a profit of around Rs 55 crore in 2019, but the government sold it for pennies and the PAPCL employees became unemployed overnight, whereas Punjab government is falsely advertising about employing the people.Shopkeepers from Shri Anandpur Sahib City, Bhanupali, Ganguwal, Dher, Jindwari Nangal and a large number of people from Truck Union Nangal and Truck Union Kiratpur Sahib were present. These people said that Kiratpur Sahib is facing huge difficulties due to lack of truck unions and interference of MLAs and ministers. People also pointed out the lack of health facilities in their area because there is no government hospital or PHC. Similarly, in the area of Changar, lack of good sports grounds and industry are the major problems.
After listening to the views of the people, Satyendar Jain said that bribery and corruption is a big problem and the main reason for this is that there are ministers, legislators who extort money weekly or months from government officials. He said that with the formation of AAP government in Punjab, corruption would be stopped and there would be no interference in the truck unions. Four high quality AstroTurf stadiums will be built in the area of Shri Anandpur Sahib Constituency. AAP government will work tirelessly to promote industry and tourism. On the occasion Harjot Bains welcomed Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain and apprised him of the problems in the area. Satyendar Jain said that people here are very much in love with Harjot Bains and are very impressed with his character.
