While presiding over the triennial state convention and farmer-entrepreneur-scientist symposium of the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Himachal Pradesh here today Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh was moving ahead with meaningful issues. He expressed concern that today we were eager to adopt western methods and technologies in agriculture sector by forgetting our traditional agricultural practices.The Governor said that Macaulay's method had emerged in every field today leading to a situation of confusion in every field. He stressed on the need to come out of this confusion and the farmers should adopt traditional agricultural methods to reduce the cost of their produce. He said that the land fertility was also decreasing and the only solution to deal with this problem was to adopt cow based agriculture system. He urged the Himachal Pradesh Bhartiya Kisan Sangh to make collective efforts for adopting cow based agriculture.

General Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Kisan Sangh Dinesh Kulkarni said that the Sangh was working for welfare of the farmers since last 42 years. He said that today the agriculture sector was facing shortage of funds and need was to ensure transparency in dealing with the issues related to farmers. He said that the  farmers could be benifitted with more decentralized market system. He also stressed the need to take up the problems of agriculture of Himalayan regions separately.President of Himachal Pradesh Bhartiya Kisan Sangh Dr. Somdev said that the farmers should become entrepreneur from producers.Vice Chancellor of Horticulture University Nauni Dr. Parminder Kaushal, Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Palampur Dr. SC Chaudhary and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.Earlier, the Governor also awarded the outstanding farmers.
