Member of National Commission for Safai Karamchari Anjana Panwar today asked the district administration to evolve a proper mechanism to safeguard the interests of the Safai Karamcharis in the district.Presiding over a meeting of the district administration, Panwar said that the need of hour was to protect the interests of these weakest strata of society. She said that no stone would be left unturned to ensure the well-being of the Safai Karamcharis in the country. She said that they were in-fact the real heroes to accomplish the mission of Swacch Bharat.Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Joint CP Harsh Dayama, MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindru, ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh Bal, besides several others were also present on the occasion.She said this was the right time to transform the lives of these people, who have suffered a lot in the past, by taking remedial measures for their protection. She further said that the interests of this weaker and underprivileged section of society need to be secured, for which the Commission was already working dedicatedly.She exhorted the officers to act as guardians of Safai sewaks in the state. She said that the officers need to sensitize themselves to safeguard the interests of the Safai Sewaks in the district.
