DLSA Ganderbal celebrates 'Children’s Day'

Under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and J&K Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in collaboration with Education Department Ganderbal today organised a function at Dream Land Educational Institute Ganderbal to celebrate the Children’s day with great zeal, enthusiasm and fanfare.Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Tabasum was the chief guest, whereas Principal Govt. Girls High School Nunner was the guest of honor at the event.Teachers and Students from different Schools of District Ganderbal participated in the programme.Different competitions including debates, quiz, painting, slogan writing, essay writing and film making competitions were organized on 13th and 14th of November 2021, in which a large number of students from different schools participated.

The appreciation certificates and mementos were also given by chief guest to the students who excelled in different competitions. This programme marks the end of 42 days long campaign of Pan India awareness & Outreach Campaign and part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav”. The purpose of campaign was to provide free Legal Services to the weaker and marginalized sections of the society and aware general public as well as students about role of Legal Services Authorities.In a message to the students, the chief guest said that there is need to safeguard the rights of children besides urging parents to care their wards with love and affection. In her address, she deliberated upon the main aim of celebrating the day and said that this day projects the rights of the children so that they are not being deprived of their privileges
