9 Companies Select 68 Youths For Jobs During Placement Camp

As many as 68 youths were selected by 9 companies during a placement camp held at District Bureau of Employment & Enterprise (DBEE) on Friday. Punjab Youth Development Board (PYDB) Chairman Sukhwinder Singh Bindra along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (D) Amit Kumar Panchal inaugurated the camp.They said that a total of 9 companies in the camp and 180 vaccines were offered in the camp wherein 142 candidates were interviewed by the expert panel adding that after the interview 68 were selected for the jobs.

He added that several companies including ICICI Bank, Coca Cola, SBI Bank, Pukhraj Health Care, GTB Engineers, Kotak Insurance, ICICI Foundation, Parshotam Associates, Airtel and others took part in the placement camp.They told that the placement camps were a noble initiative by the state government to provide jobs to every household.They appealed to the unemployed youths to participate in these camps actively to explore better career options.Deputy Director Meenakshi Sharma and Deputy CEO Navdeep Singh, told that we organise placement camp on every Friday at District Bureau Partap Chowk from 10am to 2pm.
