To assess the on ground scenario of saffron and other crops in the hailstorm affected areas of Pulwama, the Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal today visited Patalbagh, Samboora, Chandhara and Lethpora areas of the district. During the visit, the Director held interaction with the farmers of different areas. He said the Department is committed to take all the necessary steps to minimize the post hailstorm impact to different crops.He asked the concerned officers and field staff of the Department to work in close coordination with the farming community and guide them with respect to different situation warranted interventions.He asked the concerned field officers to inform the farmers about the post harvest management of different crops. He ensured the farmers that the department is with them in all the circumstances. Senior officers of the department and other field functionaries of the district were accompanying the Director during the visit.
