Haryana Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij seemed to be in action today on his arrival from AIIMS, Delhi and immediately took a meeting of senior officers of Home, Police and Health Departments on reaching Chandigarh. He took information about law and order and health related conditions. Sh. Vij also appealed to the farmers to maintain peace so that the common man does not face any kind of problem. Calling upon the agitating farmers, Sh. Vij also said that it is everyone's right to agitate, but there should not be a violent agitation because violence cannot resolve any issue. He said that the Constitution has asked for a peaceful protest.He said that the right to equality has been given to everyone in the Constitution, so we should not take any such action or step that violates anyones rights.
The Home Minister said that recently, the State Government had invited leaders of farmers to hold a meeting so as to open the roads leading to Delhi from Haryana side, so that the farmers go ahead for talks keeping in view the convenience of the general public. It is noteworthy that when the Supreme Court took cognizance of the closed roads due to the farmers' agitation, following which the Haryana Government had constituted a high level committee to open the roads and interact with the farmers. After receiving health related information, Sh. Vij said that Haryana is prepared for a possible third wave of corona infection and the State has made all preparations for the same like essential medicines, necessary equipment,sufficient manpower, bed requirement and oxygen requirement etc.
