Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights conducted an inspection in the Anganwari centers of Dhanas small flats (RCI) and Dadu Majra, Chandigarh and reviewed  the field situation about the services being provided to the beneficiaries by the centers. An interaction was conducted with the Dhanas Anganwaris where the issue of trauma of  working mothers and children’s isolation at home was discussed. The issue of misuse of the smart phone among the adolescent was a deep concern as it has a negative impact  on the growth of adolescents. Commission decided to conduct a live interaction session with these children. 

At the Daddu majra Anganwari center an interactive session was conducted for the workers and feeding mothers in the area by the respective members of the Commission Dr.  Monica M Singh and Ms. Pooja Punchhi. The health issues of mothers and children were discussed and immunity-boosting tips were given by the Ms. Harjinder Kaur,  Chairperson, CCPCR. Young mothers urged for many more sessions like the same as sitting in the homes they expressed their challenges as the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.  Ms. Sukhdev Kaur, CDPO, ICDS and Nodal officer “haste Angan’  ensured that during the Haste Angan campaign they will reach each and every affected family and deliver the  IEC material for the awareness among masses.
