The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana - SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT) to review the progress of registration of beneficiaries and generation of Golden Cards in Srinagar districtChief Executive Officer, Ayushman Bharat  Dr Sagar Doifode was also present in the  meeting. On the occasion, a detailed PowerPoint presentation was presented on regarding the status and achievements made with regard to implementation of AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in Srinagar.The meeting also discussed in detail the modalities for speeding up the registration for SEHAT scheme and directions were passed on to all the concered to increase registration of beneficiaries under the scheme in their respective areas.The DC was informed that 334822 individuals have been registered with Ayushman Bharat in the district and so far 294205 Golden Cards have been issued to beneficiaries.The DC stressed upon the officers for prompt issuance of SEHAT cards under the scheme to all registered beneficiaries and undertaking registration process of all left outs on BIS Portal.He also directed the concerned authorities to start Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities on mission mode by roping in other concerned departments for creating mass awareness in the district for speeding up registration process.

The DC further directed the officers to organize Golen Card Registration MELAs in all Medical Zones in the district to ensure cent percent population is covered under the scheme. He also stressed that timely submission of claims and reply to queries should be done for ease of beneficiaries.He called for coordinated efforts in expanding the ambit of SEHAT scheme so that all eligible persons are benefitted.Highlighting the benefits of the scheme, the DC said that AB PM-JAY SEHAT Scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by Prime Minister on 26th December 2020 and it aims to provide Universal Health Insurance Coverage of Rs. 5.00 lakh per family on a floater basis in convergence with central government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).The CEO Ayushman Bharat also spoke on the occasion and said every possible step will be taken to increase the Registrations to cover all eligible persons under the scheme. He also said that training programs for Arogya Mitirs will be conducted for their capacity building so that they can perform better.Among  others the meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, Medical Superintendents and senior faculty members of various Hospitals, District Coordinators,/Nodal officers of Ayusman Bharat and officers from concerned Insurance Companies.
