The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the Covid containment measures in the district.SSP Kupwara, G.V.Sandeep and District Nodal Officer for Covid Control (ADDC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone were also present in the meeting.Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that achievement of Health department is the achievement for the whole district therefore, every department should render necessary support for mitigation of Covid crisis in the district. He stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the vaccination process in the district and ensure cent percent inoculation of the target population.The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure closely monitoring of the sampling and vaccination process  at each Vaccination Centre on daily basis.It was informed in the meeting that the district registered 13132 Covid positive cases out of which 12027 cases have been recovered, constituting a recovery rate of 91.58 percent. The district also recorded 5.33 percent positivity rate this week. It was further informed that 130329 vaccine under Ist and 2nd doses have been inoculated in the district till date.Meanwhile, the ADDC Kupwara directed the concerned officers to ensure that the employees under their control are vaccinated before releasing their monthly salary. He stressed upon them to intensify their efforts for coverage of the target population with proper sampling and vaccination.Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Dr. Kousar Amin; Dy. CMO, Block Medical Officers, Tehsildars, CDPOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
