The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) convoy is increasing day by day in Punjab with eminent personalities joining the party. The party gained strength on Wednesday when BJP and Akali Dal Badal leaders joined the party fold along with their associates. AAP’s senior leader and Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, MLA and Youth Wing president Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, party’s state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat and advocate Narinder Singh Tiwana inducted and welcomed the leaders at the party headquarters here.Addressing the media, Sarvjit Kaur Manuke said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was working day and night to provide all facilities and treatment to the victims of Covid pandemic. She said that Kejriwal had provided financial assistance and rations to ordinary workers including shopkeepers, taxis and auto drivers. Manuke said that the people of Punjab were being impressed by the development work and policies of the Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal government and want the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab too; as they were fed up with sand mafia, liquor mafia, transport mafia and cable mafia and want to get rid of this mafia rule.On the occasion, MLA Meet Hayer said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party of the common man of the country and not of the rich. He said that the Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi was formulating policies for the common man; that is why the people of Punjab are joining the Aam Aadmi Party and the convoy of AAP is increasing day by day.The leaders who joined the AAP include the district president of Youth Akali Dal Muslim Wing from Jalandhar, Abdul Bari Salmani, Abdul Qayyum Salmani and Sonu Salmani. Similarly, Gurwinder Singh, a youth BJP leader from Jalandhar and in-charge of 'Mission Modi Again PM 2019' campaign also joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his associates. The leaders who joined the party said that the people see Aam Aadmi Party as the only credible alternative to bring a real change and the AAP would form government in Punjab in 2022. The leaders said that they will diligently fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to them and would work hard to strengthen the party.
