On the auspicious day of Baisakhi on Tuesday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Punjab Assembly, Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA from Garhshankar, Jai Kishan Singh Rodi, party’s SC wing state president Lal Chand Kataruchakk among other leaders and party workers paid obeisance at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the shrine of Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj. On the occasion, LoP Harpal Singh Cheema said that at present the Bani of Guru Ravidas ji was paving the way for the people of the world. He said that it was necessary to eradicate the evils of the society by following the Bani of Guru Ravidas ji Maharaj and create a healthy society. Cheema said that with the spread of education only, the untouchables and other evils in the society could be eradicated.MLA Jai Kishan Singh Rodi said that today the entire leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party was taking a resolution at the shrine of Guru Ravidas ji that every effort was made to make the discourses given by Guru Ravidas ji, come true for a better society. He said that Guru Ravidas ji had spoken of creating a society of equal opportunity for all human beings and after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government, it would be put into practice.Lal Chand Kataruchakk said that at present, politics was completely tainted and there was a need to build a better future by following the concept of Guru Granth Sahib and Guru Ravidas ji's Bani. He said that the present regime was pursuing a repressive policy and at present there was a need for all the sections to come together and work together to create a society of equality.
